Ready as I can be. My mother passed away 30 years ago. My wife reminds me she is not my mother and does not want or expect anything. Our son, on the other hand, I am sure will send a card as a gift is not needed.
@Tadlem43 No, it does not seem that long ago. But we get some accomodation to it and our other losses. And I forgot to mention that my wife and I were married on a Mother’s Day, so we do somethingfor each other for that.
Last year I got my mom a mystery box from morning save, she actually liked it a lot. It had some wireless speakers, wireless headphones and neck cream and other stuff in it. She plays her phone at work for herself or patients so it worked out well. I don’t know what I’m gonna do this year.
I happen to be on vacation with my mom right now. It’s something we planned before (gesture) all this, and I’m so glad we’re doing it. Might be our last chance and all that.
Anyway, she pointed to some earrings in a craft market on Bonaire, and I bought them when she wasn’t looking. Check.

@andyw My mom passed away 30 years ago, too. Feb. 5, 1992. It surely doesn’t seem like it’s been that long ago.

My mom passed away a long time ago, and I never had kids, so… nope.
Isn’t Mother’s Day in May?
@hchavers Two weeks from today. (Sunday)
@hchavers @Tadlem43 In the meantime, it’s Mehther’s Day (and probably will be again once or twice before then.)
I adored my mom, but she died in 1997. Unfortunately me and my daughter are estranged, so doubt she will acknowledge the day. Always a sad day for me.
@Tenorsinging
Hope you have a peaceful day that day anyway. Motherhood is a vastly underappreciated state.
my mother has passed. no celebration for me.
With no need for any plans, I have none.

@kostia
Very jealous of your vacation.
Mother’s Day is also the day before my moms birthday. I am giving her some earrings and a plant. She likes that sort of thing.
We’re going to make my mother a rack of lamb, candied yams, bacon wrapped asparagus, and fresh baked brownies with ice cream for dessert.
